FS2 Vet on MWO

Post by FF-Hobbes » Wed Aug 19, 2015 6:27

So there I was doing a pug match in MWO when I see someone named Shivan Marauder. So of course I immediately thought of FS2 and asked him about it. Turns out he used to play. Might stop by the forums- I don't think we'd recognize him probably, said he was 4 at the time, but might be interested in doing some FS2 games.

He probably wasn't playing when it was out and Squadwar were running being 4 years old :D Guess he never played it online; hope he tried out FSOpen, and multi actually works again fro quite some time, even Squadwar is working again. Just lacks of players ...

Sent him a ingame request, tho I barely play MW4 recently, might give it a go again. He probably might be into Star Citizen too btw ;)

We can hope, I feel like some fresh blood would be good for us. In the meantime, here's my drama:

First, couldn't find my headset.
Then upgraded to windows 10 np
3 days later, MWO stopped working
Figured that one out, still couldn't find my head set.
found my headset, but it wouldn't work
figured that one out, but now MWO doesn't work again (PC doesn't recognize my graphics card). I'm so tired of this bs...

Got that fixed (rolled back my BIOS  ) but VOIP doesn't work in MWO for some reason.... But that's relatively small stuff compared to the issues I was having, so I'll call that a win.

That's what I was thinking when looking towards win10; As long my system runs fine I don't wanna tryout and mess everything up. Thank god there's rollbacks tho! :)

I concur. I had some small issues with windows 10 not recognising mice on both my desktop and laptop but other than that it works quite nicely and merges all the best of 7 and 8 together into a fairly hassle free experience whilst allowing you to delve deeper when you need to.

I think so- but I'm only a casual user so take it for what it's worth.

No issues so far on my home PC. Not much of a differential with Windows 7, but hey, get it while it's still free.
